Filtering my water vs odor reduction.
The filter functions as it should. However the filter is not like the picture shown that they are selling. The sealing ends are in a bright blue instead of the black shown in the picture. The ends feel to be a harder plastic then the black end caps I have purchased in the past. I have counted the pleats in comparison and their product has one less pleats then the Pentek filters I have purchased in the past. I have kept a previously purchased filter to compare to new purchases. I have a sulfur odor in my water and these filters remove that odor for a duration of time. With these filters, I have to change them every 4-5 weeks when the odor returns. With the black ended filter, I have purchased in the past, the filter would last 6 weeks. These filters last longer for actually filtering the water as they are designed for, however I need to change them more frequently because of my odor concern. I have ordered from this supplier before and decided to just change the filters more frequently.
