Good history lesson, excellent characters

Doesn't fit modern skis, unstable
Poor design - center mounting point means it's unstable with one pair of skis. Especially ones for tall adults.
Does NOT support modern side-cut fat-tipped powder skis - the prongs are too short and extend barely past the middle of the ski and it's not secure.
This might be OK for kids skis and the skinny old "toothpick" skis, but if you like powder and fat tips, this is not your rack.
I'm using this for storing machetes and a string trimmer in the garden shed (yes, seriously it works great), and making my own ski rack that will be able to handle Rossignol '88s
