Great hook for Japanese soft baits
This hook is best for making Nikko Kasei's tadpole bait weedless as well as other smaller worm models from Japan. Unlike most American hooks, these hooks take a long time and a lot of use before they rust. You can leave them rigged in your baits much longer, sometimes into the next season, before any rust will appear. Like other fishing products made in Japan, quality is unquestionable. Sharpness is retained much longer than the other, mostly Wall Street owned brands you'll see in the big box stores. These hooks are pricey. I have tried to replace them with cheaper alternatives, but at the end of the day, I always come back to these hooks. If you are fishing quality soft baits, especially high end softer plastic baits from Japan such as Nikko Kasei's tadpole, kiji worms, smaller shrimp, and others, this is a great hook to use. If you're like me, you'll keep your eyes out for sales and deals on this hook and stock up when you can. Summary: long life, no rust, high quality, best fit for the new unique soft baits from Japan, pricey but worth it

Love Gamakatsu hooks. These 1/0 G-Locks are excellent for fishing Nikko hellgrammites and other Nikko baits.
