Not what we were hoping for.
1 of 9 found this helpful We were hoping for a classic, turn-based RPG or at LEAST some elements reminiscent of such games that came earlier in the series. This plays more like a Dynasty Warriors game with little to no challenge, likely intended for child-aged or beginner-level gamers looking for something colorful and silly to play and watch as opposed to an actual epic with deep, complex gameplay elements.
If you like modern anime and the story-telling there, you'll love this game.
If you're looking for complex gameplay with intriguing plot twists beyond your average cliches and cheap, romance-related hooks, you're better off sticking to the PS1 and PS2 era of games.
