This is a top notch cable, improvement in my system was immense. It is important you use good quality IEC connectors and properly terminated ends as with any DIY cords. If you get this right the cord has plenty to offer.
A very good high quality product I would highly recommend it.

Specifically for X-Runner, with the TRD short shifter driver must be constantly reminded its a truck, it is as close to a sports car as you could get.
3 of 3 found this helpful I installed the TRD short shifter to my 2008 Toyota Tacoma X-Runner I feel this should have been factory standard equipment specially for an X-Runner. This truck is as close to a sports car a truck could get, with the short shifter you only realize its a truck at a stop light. Shorter throws makes driving this truck that much more pleasurable.
Built quality is as good as OEM quality, not cheap quality, both look identical except the longer bottom end on the TRD short shifter. Throws feel shorter, tighter and sharper, little to no play between gears. All the gears tighten up so there is no exception for the reverse which is already tight making it a tad bit tighter than usual. Product delivers what it promises. I did read misconception about the reverse gear where there is no understanding to the concept of a short shifter. I did not have a problem with it, I cant imagine anyone having a problem with it if done properly. Be aware there are two models for TRD short shifter, 4X4 model and 2x4 model, make sure you choose the right part for your vehicle and of course do your own research before committing to this upgrade.
TRD short shifter is definitely shifts to my liking, I consider this a tasteful investment to my truck and would absolutely recommend the product to those looking for a bit more excitement. In my opinion every X-Runner should have rolled out of production assembly with TRD short shifter as standard equipment, since that is not is not the case do yourself a favor install a TRD short shifter as soon as possible.... My review would make a lot more sense!
