Great product

Good surface that enables a variety of oil techniques as well as enabling fine detail. Large size enables oil sketches to be attempted at a scale nearer to the final piece.

Wonderful clarity.

This is an outstanding piece of equipment. I bought it having researched a number of more expensive scopes on-line. Excellent for bird watching. You will need to use a sturdy tripod for best results. It was clear on the first night after purchase and of course I looked at the moon. Amazing. Focus is so fine that you could focus on the edge and the nearest craters! I didn't expect to be able to see the rings of Saturn and the moons of Jupiter. It's not just about the magnification (x48) but also the clarity of the ED optics. Great purchase.
