Improved
The light is in a great location on the battery interface base. Ryobi drills are getting more compact all the time. I am a professional handyman and use it daily. The old Ryobi i had burnt out using it to turn the sausage stuffer. Under reasonable loads it gets the job done well. The number of tool options is why I stick with Ryobi. 5 stars once they make the head 2 inches shorter like the higher priced tools.

ridgid quality
purchased a used model a few years back and it has been a faithful tool until the switch burnt out. Easily replaced and it runs better than ever now. Got a new unit as a backup. They do tend to spray a lot of water which the new models are said to address. I do occasionally stop the motor while cutting a piece so they are not all powerful, but its all you need to get any job done.
