Guy knows his stuff, but could use an editor
So, everybody who seems to be anybody says THIS book does live up to its name as the Bible of PPG. After learning everything I could online, I was SO excited to get this official handbook. I'm just now getting through it, and it is mostly living up to my expectations. Tons of photos detailing things I never quite understood. And it's clearly been updated and speaks to recent innovations like mobile phone apps.
What I will say is that it's taking a bit of patience to get through. The writing is a bit long in the tooth, and there are enough typos, spelling errors, and outright duplicated paragraphs (yup) that it's a bit taxing for someone used to more rigorously edited stuff. BUT - that's just constructive criticism.
Hey Jeff - if you happen to see this review, I would seriously happily do some free proof-reading and editing for the next version!

Woah! Awesome paired with RTL-SDR usb stick
7 of 8 found this helpful I bought one of the inexpensive RTL-SDR's from Amazon. It came with 2-3 small antennas, and I had fun picking up a few things. But I really felt limited. After some research, it seemed like a Discone could be a way to improve the range of things I could pick up. And this thing is fantastic! I'm no expert, but I will simply say that it far surpassed my expectations. It was packed well, and is made from well-made parts. Would buy again.

So far so good - well made solution
Using this to convert ATX power supply for use in a virtual pinball game. I have not stress-tested it yet, but everything seems to be built well. Meter readings confirm power is working as expected. Power switch and LED are great to have. Very pleased.
