Six Feet Under - Seasons 1-5 Collectors Box Set
1 of 1 found this helpful I cannot recommend watching this series enough - the hype really is justified in this instance.
Truly ground breaking tv - it is so easy to empathise with the situations the various characters find themselves in, and there is a very "human" feel to it. The reason why I enjoyed it so much, is that in the course of a single episode you can laugh til it hurts, cry with true sorrow, and feel genuine anger with real depth - what other programme can consistently invoke those feelings, to that extent, over the run of all its seasons?
Some critics have labelled it as a bit pretentious - I utterly disagree, they just didn't "get" it. Deep, thoughtful, insightful - Absolutely excellent. Retails brand new for roughly £20 a season, or about £75 - £80 for the box set. I bought mine second hand in great condition and delivered for half of that - worth every penny.
Do the same - you will not regret it!
