Bronco Gas Shock Front AU-04400

Strut too wide despite Bronco website

Strut was too large in diameter to fit in strut-hub assembly of 99 Sportsman 500. Even with the strut-hub assembly pried 1/2” wider the strut did not fit. Does not seem the AU-04400 strut/ springs are intended for the 99 sportsman 500. I even tried grinding the strut down slightly on a lathe with no avail. Bought another pair of gas shocks and they fit perfect. At least I can still use the springs and only be 100 bucks out instead of two.
