Rod "The Bottle" Price and the band deliver!
It's straight out Rock and Roll and Blues laced Rock in excellent form. Rod Price delivers a mega dose of pure emotion from his guitar and bottleneck on the ultimate version of It Hurts Me Too while Dave Peverett powers out premium, emotional Blues-Rock vocals and the band wrap the song up in tight perfection. This song alone is worth the price of the CD for me, but there is so much more to enjoy on this one. Rod was one of the all time great slide players. He and Dave left behind some serious performances and the band still carries the torch with great credibility and conviction, but I agree with other reviews I've seen around that this CD and Foghat Live is the place to start understanding what this band has always been about and still is. Audio samples can be found on the web. I have a pretty diverse CD collection, but to me, this is a MUST HAVE!

High Quality DIGITAL Speakers
2 of 2 found this helpful These Boston Acoustic BA speakers really are the best digital computer speakers that I have every heard. However, make sure that digital speakers will work with your computer. I had a set of these BA735 speakers that lasted close to 20 years. When they failed, there was only one set of speakers that I wanted to replace them with; The BA735. However, they are no longer made, so I had to get them used. Many people are moving away from desktop PCs and even from Laptops and don't see the value of these speakers, so they sell them used. I found a New Old Stock set and bought them, BUT it was not compatible with my PCs, even though the other BA735 speakers worked great with these PCs. After closer examination, I realized that the BA735 speakers I had all these years had both digital and analog inputs and as it turns out, I always used the analog outputs on my PCs and ran into the analog inputs on my BA735. When I bought the replacement set, it only had digital inputs. I solved the problem by spending about $30 on a analog cable to run from the PC analog audio out that split from one to two and a analog to digital converter and a digital out cable to run from the converter to the speaker input. It works! Sounds amazing! However, if I knew that Boston Acoustics changed the BA735 design and made it only digital and that they made a purely analog set called the BA745, I would have just bought a set of BA745 speakers! I think that the analog sounds even better and that is what most PC audio outs are; analog. You wouldn't think so because after all, it's a computer, a machine that digitized our world, but the audio out is still analog most of the time.

A MUST SEE. Excellent!
1 of 1 found this helpful There are a few versions of this. There's an extended version with
deleted scenes added back to the movie. This Special Edition one that I
purchased has those scenes also, but you view them separately and it
also includes commentary telling you why those scenes were removed.
As for the movie itself, it's one of my absolute favorites. Mel Gibson
does a phenomenal job of bringing the character of Benjamin Martin to
life. The story almost seems to take place over a year in the movie (Because
the characters don't age), but it takes place over several of the 8
years that the actual Revolutionary war lasted. The story is not a true
story, but it draws on actual history, people and events throughout the
8 year period. It was no easy task to gain independence, individual
freedoms and liberty and no easy task for families to live settled lives
during that time. This movie is the story of the Martin family's
challenge and the challenges of other families as people stepped up to
defend their rights and win independence from oppressive rule. This
story takes place in the Carolina areas at the time that George
Washington was leading battles in the north. Although Washington did
battle in the south at times and commanded the entire Continental Army,
he is only breifly seen in this story. There is a strong realism to the
characters and the (ficticious)story. This is just a great action drama
on its face, but the time period and historical nature of this makes it
that much more interesting.
