Not perfect.
The in ear part barely fits. It would be too big for someone with a small ear. People I talk to with it say I sound like I'm a little far away down a tunnel, but they can still hear and understand me at regular talking volume.

Only iron that doesn't upset my stomach.
I have extreme anemia and an easily upset stomach. I take one pill with every meal (with doctor supervision). I haven't tried not eating with the iron. I think if you don't have a super sensitive stomach that you could take one on an empty stomach.
