Quality control?

Recently purchased amp. I think it's a good practice/ small venue amp. May need to use a mic on it if in loud environment. Quality control may lack. First time I'd ever had to open up a new amp because it wasnt working. No sound. Speaker was never plugged in on circuit board I seriously doubt in handling it unplugged. Other than that seems to work for what I need it for
