Awesome Tool
What an awesome piece of equipment. Looks and feels really good in the hand. Has a solid weight.
As for writing with it, I'm pleased with the standard ballpoint, which is what I prefer over gel-pens with a needle point. The grip is a bit funky for me, seeing as I'm used to straight parallel tubing, but it feels like I'll get used to it without a problem. My penmanship is still intact with the first few strokes. As a pen, it's awesome.
As a self-defense weapon, I suppose it can be efficient, seeing as it has a surprising point to it. It'll definitely do some damage and probably smash or fracture small bones, if it had to. Never used a kubaton in my life, but I can be confident it'll do it's job without a problem.
I heard some people have an issue with the pocket clip on the cap, which I can understand because it feels thin, and maybe a bit brittle, but for now, I'm not going to test it. Either way, would recommend
