Solid construction; takes 2 people to build; good instructions
It did take about 2 hrs to put together; I like the fact that the hardware is separated into little bags so you only open what you need each step of the way.

Perfect match - just one little quirk
I was impressed with how easy this was to install. This isn't as good quality as the original icemaker in my Kitchenaid as this one is made more of plastic whereas the original one was much heavier and made of more metal. There's only one little quirk - most of the time, there is one ice cube (mostly on the right side) that doesn't slide into the bin, and just kind of "hangs" there and the bin won't fill up with water until that is removed. I don't see anything blocking it and it doesn't happen all the time , so I'll just live with it - better than having no icemaker or having to buy a whole new refrigerator!

Sturdy,well-made but not worth the premium price
2 of 2 found this helpful I debated long and hard about shelling out the money for this product and decided to go ahead and try it..... bottom line: it's okay but not sure it's worth the money.... I do like the low prodile design that can reach under cabinets, tables,etc.... However you would think that for this amount of money it would come with some sort of a stand that you could put it on with the wet pad in between cleanings... I don't intend to remove and wash the pads every time... That was disappointing... It's also hard (impossible) to tell how much cleaning liquid is in the reservoir - which does seem pretty small and I found myself running out (only by noticing that nothing was coming out when I sprayed) and having to refill it.... also noticed that power button and spray buttons are pretty close together and I found myself hitting the power button numerous times instead of the spray button. Also found that I still have to scrub many spots to get them off completely . It does feel fairly well made and sturdy and I have had no problem with battery life......
