Inexpensive solution for a microscope stage with only slide clips.
This mechanical stage movement operates smoothly and is a nice addition to an inexpensive microscope that just has hold-down clips on the stage for the slide. The only issue I had with it is the two alignment pins were slightly smaller diameter than the holes they fit into on an Amscope M150 microscope. The trouble is this causes is the entire assembly to move around when you try to turn the knobs to adjust the position. On a microscope that's a real problem.
I was able to fix the problem by wrapping a little bit of tape around each pin. The pins are short so getting the tape on them took a few tries but in the end it worked well.

Good replacement keys for certain Craftsman tools.
This is a very good replacement part for a Craftsman 10 inch table top bandsaw.

Older DSLR but good performance
The D70 is one of the very few cameras that doesn't have a built in ultraviolet filter over the image sensor. That makes it a perfect camera for doing ultraviolet photography. Newer Nikon models need to be modified to remove/replace the sensor filter before they are useful for UV photography. Performing that modification is not a DIY project.
By today's standards, it's rather low in its megapixel count. The rear display is considerably smaller than today's cameras. It also doesn't have a huge number of features and functions that are fairly common today.
