BW Casey Tru-Oil Gun Stock Finish Wood Oil Protectant 8 oz Liquid 23035

Best wood finish I've ever used

I rarely write reviews, but I've found Tru-Oil to be something of a revelation and I'd like to pass on the word. I'd never heard of this until I happened to watch a YouTube video about refinishing guitar necks. I bought my first bottle for that purpose but ended up using it on a medium sized computer desk instead. Tru-Oil doesn't have much odor, goes on with a rag, dries pretty fast, and gives the smoothest finish I've ever achieved on anything. I've used many, many different wood finishing products, but Tru-Oil has quickly become my favorite. It looks expensive, but I've found that a little goes a long way. But I like it so much, I'd buy it even if it didn't. Plan on 4 or 5 thin coats, with 400-600 grit light sanding or 0000 steel wool in between (or more coats if you've got the patience). I find I can get 4 or 5 coats on in a day, leaving the last one to dry overnight. There are lots of YouTube videos about how to use this stuff--many people are far more artistic with it than I am. It's definitely good for many things besides finishing gun stocks.
