A Scout Scope that satisfies my requirements

Small, light, fixed power Scout Scopes are not at all common, but this one fills the bill for me. It was purchased to replace an earlier model 2.75x20 Scout Scope from the same manufacturer that has too fine a reticle for my taste and my vision. The reticle in this newly acquired one is just right, and the scope weighs an ounce less than the older model it is replacing, another plus. Both the older scope and this one have excellent, crisp, clear optics, by the way. Combined weight of the new scope and the QD rings I've chosen is a mere 10 ounces.

A small DIY alteration doubles its usefulness

This long-awaited Mini-30 mag loader is definitely worth owning/using. Unfortunately it's about a quarter-inch too long (the skirt area at the bottom) to function with 5-round Mini-30 mags. Shorten it by that unneeded quarter-inch and it becomes what it should have been from the start - a loader that works with ALL Ruger factory branded magazines. Every Mini-30 owner that gets one will appreciate it.
