Get the right screws instead of digging through hardware stores
Good for restoring an old amp or building one from a kit

Nice sounding speakers
I have used these in a 1x12 Fender tweed clone amp and I just bought a second speaker so I could put it in a 2x12 cabinet. I didn’t know much about these speakers until I got used a 1x12 cabinet that came with it for an amp I was building. It is an improvement over the stock speakers that came with my Marshall TSL 602 combo amp (wolverine G12H80) which had a bit darker tone. Now the amp sounds brighter and a bit more vintage like. I bought the speaker used not brand new so there was no break in period for me. On the tweed Fender clone I thought it sounded better than made in China Greenback and a bit more upper midrange than an Eminence Legend.

Nice vintage sound
I installed these on a guitar that I pieced together. They are a little hotter than I expected as they seem to get loud pretty quick. The clean sound is nice and clear, the bridge pickup can push the amp pretty easy with a slight volume increase. The neck pickup measured 7.3K and bridge around 6.2K, the back of the package says they are both 7.4K which is not correct. I have seen other pure vintage '64 Telecaster pickups where the box is accurately labeled 7.4k neck and 6K bridge. I also have a Nashville Telecaster with Tex Mex pickups and I prefer the pure vintage '64 sounds over the Tex Mex pickups.
