Other Possible Use of Amber LED indicator / pilot Light
Although a pilot dash light, I use many of these lights outside the car in my own way, a self-designed daytime running light with many (8X ) LED's lined up in a straight vertical row with spacing at 3/4 inch between centers of diameters, of 1/2 inch for each LED (diameter.) It works satisfactorily since it is bright enough for daytime use, and it can be seen by other people at few hundred yards (distance.)

6mm Amber LED 12V Metal Indicator
The smallish 6mm LED metal indicator has so many uses for where an LED is needed, but only if low illumination or as an indicator status for On/Off.

I normally purchase this within the USA ...
I normally purchase this within the USA in the past, but they are not available any more (for this 8mm LED Dash Signal Lamp.) Anyway, it's well made and polished, and beautiful Blue LED lamp.
Interestingly, I had a chance to examine those 8mm LED Dash Signal Lamps that I had purchased long time ago (and I used in my computer case) there seem to be of darker blue glass (window, or lense.)
