DJI forces you to buy $700 camera when all you need is a $45 dollar yaw motor and $25 yaw arm
The camera works as expected. Installation, with the exception of the screws that hold the ribbon cable clamp on, was very easy. I turned the drone on after installing the new camera / gamble mount and it just worked...exactly like it did before the crash.
The only reason I bought this unit for $700 was because I could not locate a replacement yaw motor anywhere. I completely disassembled the old gimbal mount and was ready to repair my unit once I discovered the problem was the yaw arm being bent and the yaw motor being damaged. The yaw arm was readily available from third parties. But no such luck on the motor.
So my gripe is not about the retailer who sold me the camera or the quality of the camera made by DJI. My gripe is related to the availability of parts to repair after a user crashes their drone.
