Great computer that seems brand new; power supply may not match

Computer works as advertised and expected; seems brand new. However, the powersupply may not be correct. It doesn't plug in all the way, leaving about 2mm of metal showing, and the power supply itself gets blazing hot, as does the battery in the computer. It seems to charge fine. I havne't used it without being plugged in enough to know how long it holds a charge. But I would hate to have the life of the computer cut short because of a mismatched power supply. The supply says "dell, inc" in extremely tiny font, followed by some Chinese characters. Also, this is a very heavy computer. I knew the weight but did not think it would feel this heavy. Just fyi.
