GP Percussion GUIRO Wooden n Guiro with Scratcher

Excellent Sound, Live or Recorded

This is a low cost guiro but the sound is more interesting than I get with any of my professional instruments. This guiro has that dry woody, grindy sound you heart on classic Latin rock songs like Steely Dan - Back Jack Do It Again, or Evil Ways. It's not as rugged as an LP steel guiro, but doesn't sound so nasty and brassy. You will need to get right up to the mic with this one. At this price, though, you can by a few spares.

Socket end is a little weak.

Socket end is a little weak. Had to squeeze it with pliers to make it grab the power adapter.
