Beautiful and Functional
Very nice rendition in the fat chef series. This is my third or fourth one as the ceramic readily chips and/or fractures. I only wish Corning would make one in their indestructible, bullet-proof Corelle line!

A Special Purpose Cleaner but be Careful Where You Use it.
This cleaner fills a niche or gap in oven / grille cleaners. Surfactant- based cleaners work well-enough on mild grease films, but are no match for baked on grease. Easy-Off still reigns supreme in cleaning baked on grease, in fact no cleaner even comes close to Easy-Off. Astonish fills the gap between surfactants and Easy-off: it works quite well on baked on grease but you have to be very careful: it contains a mild abrasive. So, use it only on brush-finish metals like grill grates and the inside of a stainless steel grille hood. This product does leave hairline scratches on polished metals, so be aware and careful with it. Easy-off of course cleans by pure chemical solvency, using a very harsh but effective acid base, so it leaves no scratches. I used Astonish on my coffee percolator basket, stem, and pot interior and it removed about 80% of the baked on coffee stains, I used it on my car's alloy wheels tough-spot corners, it worked very well, but I'm not sure if it left hairline scratch's on the powder coated finish, so I'm careful with it. This item is a substitute for my old favorite "Power Paste" no longer available. I put a dab of Astonish and a dab of Power Paste on my tongue and found both to contain similar abrasive grit which is why both clean stubborn films so well.

High quality re brass construction, threaded ends are of precisely machined, hex-nut shoulder allows use of a wrench for tightening.
