Useless for black soles
I bought the black and white pens. I applied to a white Ultraboost midsole. First I cleaned the midsole and wait for it to dry. I applied 3 coats with several hours in between the first 2. Then a day before the third. I waited a day for it to dry and tried wearing for a day. The paint cracked all over the place. You can see the white boost. I wouldn't bother buying the black pen to customize white boost shoes. It just shows too much on the impact parts of the sole. If you don't mind repeatedly washing and reapplying, then you might be ok. Also, if it's just for show, it's fine. However, this paint compound just isn't a solution for this issue in my opinion.
