Cheap plastic mounting system
We purchased the AVS bug deflector for our 2000 Ford Expedition. The deflector itself is stylish and contours well to the hood.
However, the cheap plastic clips they provide to mount it to under the hood are worthless and kept falling our or breaking. It would be so easy for AVS to upgrade the anchors and add real metal screws which might cost them an extra $0.25 - $0.50 each to include but they don't. So I went to the local hardware store and purchase proper mounting hardware. It's rock solid now and looks great.
Another prefect example of something that could be great product but instead winds up being nothing more than mediocre.
