Cuisinart BFP-703CH Blender/Food Processor dual machine
I bought this machine because of the Cuisinart name and just wanted something hassle-free. I loved that this was a dual machine that shares the same base but has 2 separate tops-one the blender and the other being the food processor, so it doesn't take up as much space to store as two separate machines would. I also like that it comes apart very well making cleaning it easy and efficient. The first and second use was great and i was excited, however by the third use i realized that this motor was no longer good. It started to get hot and give off a horrible burning rubber smell every time i used it. I looked at other reviews and realized this seems to be a common problem with this machine. Not sure how long it will last before it burns out and i have to get a new one. I am only trying to use it for quick chopping and 10 second jobs for now to avoid it smelling up the kitchen until i find a new one to get.This one just seems to hazardous and unhealthy. I recommend trying another brand altogether like Kitchen Aid because the new Cuisinart hand blender i have has the same heated motor problem(gets quite hot!), but it doesn't give off the burning smell so I'm ok for now.
