A very good product
This is the 2nd one I purchased. So far, I’ve had no problems out of either one. One of the best products I have purchased for its value.

BP-820 Battery for Canon VIXIA HF G30 XA20 XA25 Camcorder
2 of 2 found this helpful The compatible BP-820 Battery is compatible in the since you can charge the battery up. once you install and power it up on the camcorder G30. The screen will read, "cannot communicate with the battery pack, continue using this battery pack?. You can either press NO (it will shut-down) or YES. If you press yes, the next screen comes up which is the menu, in red will be the battery symbol. What this means if you are using the MP4 function it won't tell you how minutes are still left on the battery while recording. Also, some information in the menu section won't let you make changes (example: you can't change the time zone/ or date and time stamp). I haven't done anything with photos, so I cant tell you, what it can't do in that section. You are able to recorded and do play back. All the functioning buttons do work.
