This saved my AR table!
Bought a used AR-XA table years ago on ebay. After removing the old headshell and replacing the phono cartridge, I could not tighten the old headshell back onto the tonearm. It looked like the plastic on the old headshell had worn away and would not screw/lock into place. I thought the table was finally dead. But, I found Pat's XA headshell on ebay, and the table is back in operation. Fits like a glove and the wiring inside the headshell is much more robust than the old headshell, i.e. thicker and/or a heavier gauge. Highly recommended.

Almost perfect.
I've been using it for about 3 weeks now. I purchased it primarily, of course, to enhance the TV sound from my Pioneer plasma TV, for which it does an excellent job. The sound stage is more full and the sub-woofer really adds depth and dimension. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the HWJ550 also equips itself admirably playing music, e.g. via the optical port from the cable box or internet receiver. I wanted some music playing in the background one morning, and before I realized I hadn't yet turned up the volume on the receiver to engage my main speakers, the soundbar had auto-powered on via the optical out from my receiver. I cranked up the volume on the soundbar and enjoyed the concert (I listen mainly to classical and jazz).
Setup was fairly easy and straightforward. The only minor quibble I have is that I wish there was an LED on the front of the soundbar to indicate that the device is "on" when in the powered-on state. I used to work as an electronics/engineering technician and I have a "built-in" preference for indicator lights.
