Preciesly what a minimalist on-the-go needs.
It's a little stiff to break in but, once you squeeze it in and move some cards and cash in and out, it's supple. Having moved around in my pocket for a few weeks now, I am in love with this thing. I photograph out in the field, travel a lot by bike, and generally active throughout my day--that's why this has been perfect for me because I usually keep a few items in my front pocket but don't want the bulge. If this wears out, I'll order it again because I love it.
If it were double-stitched and had a smoother inner slide pocket, I'd consider 5 stars. Still, fantastic for my needs and definitely at the right price.

Truly a hidden gem.
2 of 2 found this helpful Push-pull focus with a beautiful macro mode on the tail end makes this fun and convenient to use. It's heavy and solid as a rock. This is a fantastic photojournalist lens because of the 35-135mm zone, so I can leave this lens on as my primary lens when outside and--as a cherry on the top--I can pull focus into the macro to get a close-up picture of near-distance subjects.
All I know is this is a true hidden gem in the classic Nikkor manual focus lens world. Buy it. They're so cheap, so well built, and transfer light quality so well, what do you have to lose with testing it out? There are people out there looking for these lenses because they aren't made any more. They have and will retain value.

Would prefer a screw cap, but not bad otherwise.
1 of 1 found this helpful Good for the price for sure. I would prefer a screw cap on the end because the cap (not the bristle slider) is just a friction cap. The screw cap lens cleaners I user allow me to open it with one hand by twisting my forefinger and thumb, while I hold my camera in the other, which may seem insignificant to studio shooters but makes a big deal of difference when you're out shooting in the field, like I am most of the time, and need to keep a hold on all my gear or clean while moving.
