Worthy End-of-the-World Movie
This is a thoughtful, provocative movie. Imagine waking up and you're the only person left on the planet. What happened? How do you live by yourself? What do you do? These kind of end of the world movies are interesting for that very reason. I only wish they would make a movie that actually only has one last human. But this entry is a good one. Glad I bought it.

A guilty pleasure and homage to Jaws.
This is a guilty pleasure. I like the movie because it is bad. Or, rather, an attempt at being a good movie with a low-budget. Liked the special effects of people being swallowed in sand. Wondered how that was done with the actors still safe underneath the sand and not the whole sand collapsing on the set.
No character development, but that's not what this movie pretends to be. We get stock characters, with moderately good performances from Burt Young and John Saxon.
I want to repeat, this movie is a guilty pleasure for me, ranking up there with the likes of Grizzly, Alligator and The Giant Spider Invasion.
