Garmin Forerunner 205 GPS Receiver
2 of 2 found this helpful The Forerunner 205 has been a perfect training companion. I am a competitive runner and love being to tell at a glance what my current and overall pace per mile is. I went with the 205 rather than the smaller 405 model because I can set up 4 screens of data at a glance (previous 2 mentioned along with total time and number of miles) without having to mess with changing the settings while I am running. I like the larger screen also since I normally use reading glasses to see small print, so this is very easy to read. Some comment they don't like the bulkier size, but I have not found it to be a problem. Dislikes? None so far. I would strongly recommend this product to any beginning runner or any runner wanting to take their training up to the next level.

Not good for intense work outs or humid conditions
1 of 3 found this helpful I like the size and the weight of this device. I also liked having a radio available. I am a runner. I wanted something thing to clip onto my shorts to use for a long run. The first day using it in humid conditions caused it to lose volume automatically, the songs stopped and I could not access the menu. It would always go to the volume symbol. The only cure was to let it dry out. Then I worked out again. It did the same thing. Turn it off and back on and it would randomly go through all modes with no control. I contacted the manufacturer. Their comment was "this is considered physical damage due to mishandling which voids the warranty". If normal working out is considered "mishandling" , then this device does not warrant a good recommendation.
