Incredibly sturdy, fun, and affordable
2 of 2 found this helpful Bought this for the office and was extremely impressed with the quality. The rim is SOLID and the sturdy spring behind it allows a bit of travel for dunking. The backboard and backboard mount are padded with foam to get spacing right and protect the hoop's parts and your walls. Thankfully we haven't been around at night yet to see the glow, but after being out in the sun a bit, you could see in regular indoor light that it was getting a bit of a glow. Some assembly is required, and it took us a minute to find the needle to inflate the ball--the handle of the pump has a clever compartment that holds the needle and protects it from getting lost or broken. We used the over-the-door hooks to mount this on a rolling white board (stuck some erasers behind it to get the right width for the hangers), but the included wall mount also looked very high quality. All in all an awesome buy, and tons of fun!

Perfectly refurbished, delicious cooking results
4 of 4 found this helpful Lots of friends had gotten air fryers and loved them, but I remained a skeptic. Refurbished seemed a great way to go, so I gave it a try. I knew the dimensions of the Philips Avance when making the purchase, and the fact that its size is 'XL' should've been a good hint, but somehow it still seemed larger when it arrived. (It was exactly as described, just my brain playing tricks. See the picture for the size relative to a KitchenAid Pro stand mixer.) The refurbishment was perfect--it seems like new--and I immediately washed and dried the cooking trays and made crispy broccoli. The Avance is super simple to use, heats up and cooks quickly, and cleans up easily. A cookbook is included, but I've mostly been asking friends for recipes or just experimenting, and have used it almost every day. Everything that comes out of it has been delicious. For me that's been veggies, but the cookbook also includes instructions for steaks, chicken wings, fish sticks, etc., as well as recipes for meatballs, spring rolls, croquettes, frittatas, fish steaks/nuggets, and even some desserts. A great buy!

Does what it says on the tin
If you're looking for a big tub of plaster of Paris, look no further. : ) We were looking for quick-setting plaster to make Halloweed decorations, molding our hands with alginate and then filling the mold with plaster that would start to set quickly enough that people could easily travel home with the molds after an hour or two. This was perfect, and great value for money. Looking forward to the next project!
