Born in Michigan. she began her career as an engineering manager at General Motors. But in 1994, tired of the corporate life, she did the improbable and began a new life in Venice, Italy. Her philosophy of "just hold your nose and jump" is not only the way she lives her life but is evident in her fine art. Amid the ancient buildings and watery streets of Venice, she worked in glassblowing and fine art photography.
Eventually working as the director for a European chain of fine art galleries, Peterson regularly associated with hundreds of international artists.
Upon her return to the US, she has immersed herself in watercolors since 2016 and is now an advanced watercolor instructor at Art Center Manatee in Bradenton, Florida.
Peterson has accumulated and sold a large body of original and limited edition work from her years in Venice, along with commissions for international galleries and clients. Her work has been featured in dozens of international VIP cruises and galleries.
