Great fit and value
This hood is a budget copy of the original Canon part. It does exactly the same job, feels robust, and is a good positive fit on my 24-105mm f4 L lens clicking into place without excessive force but staying firmly in place once fitted. Very happy with my purchase.

Effective but heavy
Very easy to use with a good choice of spoke sizes. Locates securely on the spoke and gives plenty of "purchase" to adjust tension as required. It is quite heavy (50g) for a small tool, so I see it more as a workshop tool than one I would carry with my "on bike" toolkit.

Wouldn't hurt a fly
Fiddly to unfurl and completely ineffective at attracting and catching flying insects.
