Quality cable.
I had spent a few bucks on cables from China that looked good - they had a braided caver, and it seemed that the shrink-wrap tubing would provide some strain relief. Not so -- the shrink-wrap was way too soft and stretchy, and the first time I stepped on it and pulled it out of the guitar, the connection broke. Rather than solder up, I ordered some of the regular Kirlin cables. Those were a great improvement, but I ordered 20-ft cables, and soon found that I would do better still with a shorter cable. So I ordered some 10-footers, this time in the Premium cable. The Kirlin Premium really is a cut above the rest. I was surprised at the signal strength going direct-to-board -- It may have been a full 3dB higher, which is a lot just for replacing a cable. I'm sold -- Kirlin Premium really seems to be a top cable for the price.

Silent carry for your extra rounds
Before I had this ammo pouch, I carried my spare rounds in a plastic ammo box. The problem? With each step, my pack sounded like I was rattling for a buck. The word "stalk" referred to the piece of grass in my mouth that I sucked on as consolation for the lack of game.
This product is well thought out. There IS velcro - hooks but no loops - on the snap-down straps on the back so that the pouch is less likely to slide around on a fabric belt. However, the case itself is opened with a squeeze on the plastic buckle, so there is no rrrripping sound when you access your ammo. Strong fabric promises to wear well.

The Hipshot Tremsetter Works
I grew up playing Southern blues-rock on Gibson guitars, which meant lots of two-string figures and string bending. In my later years I've come to appreciate the variety in tone that a Stratocaster offers, but try as I might, I couldn't get past the fact that every time I bend one string up a whole step, the rest of the strings went flat. I installed the Hipshot Tremsetter exactly as shown in the instructions and the online video, and lo and behold, I can bend strings all day long without a noticeable change in pitch on the other strings. One person online said he measured the pitch drop as -5 cents of a half step. That number sounds about right to me, and so does my guitar now that I have installed the Tremsetter.
