Low start up amps
1 of 1 found this helpful Was trying to match up a backup air conditioner to my 2000 Watt inverter. The first 8000btu room air conditioner had a 8.3 amp draw and my inverter wouldn't start it. The Honeywell is rated at 6.2 amps and my inverter easily started it. Same btu, lower amps. Now I have the perfect room air conditioner to match up with my Champion 73536i 1700/2000 watt generator. I'll be able to sleep in comfort without a loud generator clanking away th next time there is an outtage.
