lots of repairs
The good news is that most of the KX155 can be repaired by an avionics shop. The bad news, however, outnumbers the good news. Bad is the fact that the display cannot be repaired nor does Honeywell have any desire to manufacture the parts. Bad is that repairs are very costly.
In my case, the seller refunded $240 because the switch between 0.05 and 0.025 was broken. However, I was wrong about the cost to repair. I had to pay the shop $504 for the repair. Goes to show you that whatever you think would be the cost to repair something on your plane, double it.

Never locked into the MP3 player
