Carcassonne
Carcassonne is a fun game for 2 to 5 players, and it has the rare trait where the level of fun doesn't suffer if only 2 are playing. Players take turns placing tiles to build roads, cities, and farm fields earning points along the way. Set up and clean up is fast. There is strategy involved, but the learning curve is not overwhelming.

Suburbia board game
Fun game. It takes a while to set up, especially the first time. There is definitely a learning curve, but that is also what makes the game dynamic enough to make you want to keep coming back.
