The rubber valve leaks

The rubber valve leaks, just like the one I already have. I guess it's to be expected for it's age (30+ years) I'm still looking for a new valve. B&D don't carry them any more. At least I now have a spare and i will figure a way to modify it to make it work. This is still the best coffee maker I ever owned, and would hate to junk it because of the valve.
