Solid metal frame

Only had it for a week so cannot speak to durability but it beats the plastic junk. I put a few rubber pads on the bottom since there are not screw holes to keep it from hitting the hatch when you slam it. Like it.

Great new old-stock jacket

I owned this same jacket which I bought in about 1993 and wore it every day (Philadelphia region). You could wear it three seasons and zip in a liner for that one very cold week each winter. The gortex wore out after 25 years so it is time.
