Best picture book I've seen in a long time.
Great book. Both may 11 YO and my 19 YO enjoy it.

Owl Moon by Jane Yolen
One of the few books I've read that I actually believe deserves the Caldecott Medal. A beautifully illustrated and lyrically poetic book. The meaning is quite naturally spiritual while not being at all dogmatic or religious. Got this for MYSELF for Christmas :)

Great doormat for home or college dorm
It graces the outside of my daughter's college dorm room, and she like it a lot.
