If you are interested in the history of Britain's railways, BUY THIS BOOK!
If you are interested in Britain's railways, and its history this book is for you. It shows railways, stations, junctions, sheds and yards at the time the railways were amalgamated into 'The Big 4' companies in 1923. This was known as 'The Grouping' hence the title. The routes of the individual companies are clearly shown using different colours.
The book is useful as a companion on railway journeys now, as there are still many reminders now of how the railway existed then. Over the last 45 years I have always had a copy of this book, and this is my fourth copy. It is indespensible.

If you are interested in British Rail this book is essential.
If you are interested in Britain's railways as they were under British Rail at the end of the 1970s, then this book is for you. It shows all railways, junctions, stations, depots and freight installations on the network, including preserved railways. It differentiates between single- and multiple-track lines, and freight-ony and mixed use lines.
My only criticism is that it does not show whether lines were electrified, and the type of electrification (Eg 25kV overhead, or 750V 3rd rail etc). Otherwise it is an excellent book to take on railway journeys.
This book has been re-issued at different times to reflect the BR network as it was at that time. Make sure you get the one for the right time. For instance a version from the 1990's won't show the many railways that served collieries or steel works, many of which were closed in the 1980's. Of course, earlier ones won't show new or re-opened stations or lines.

Exactly same size
This is a replacement for a used Bosch original blade. It is exactly the same size as the Bosch blade it replaces.
