Lead He's Huge!
I'm a huge fan of the Metal Men, so I was extremely happy to get the DC Universe Metal Men figures. I was disappointed that Lead was an exclusive figure, though. I'm not sure why is so so out of scale, though. He towers over the rest of the Metal Men DC Universe figures, when he should be shorter than Iron.
But that notwithstanding, the figure is great! It's a great sculpt, it's extremely posable and durable. Since it's so large, it is pretty hefty!

Marvel SAGA X-Men Roster book
I recently purchased this book from a wonderful seller. I greatly enjoyed the Marvel SAGA game when it first came out, and I was sorry it didn't receive more support from TSR. I already had the Avengers and Fantastic Four roster books, so I got this one to round out my collection and get information on the characters not already covered in the other two books.
The book is laid out in the same manner as the other two, a discussion of the teams with alphabetized entries after that. This book also contains information about mutations and mutants in the Marvel Universe.
All in all, the book is pretty good. I did not enjoy it as much as the Avengers or Fantastic Four books, but that's mainly because I don't like the X-Men as much as the Avengers or Fantastic Four. I have not used any of the characters listed in a game yet, so I'm not sure how accurate or "balanced" the write-ups are.
I don't know that I would recommend this book for any system other than SAGA, though. The descriptions of the characters are extremely brief, so you could probablly find better bio information and power levels from another source.
If you can get the book cheaply, and you like the SAGA system, then you should consider getting the X-Men roster.

Pirates: The Legend of Black Kat is great!
4 of 4 found this helpful I had played this game several years ago, so when my won won a PS2 at a raffle, this is one of the games I wanted to get. However, by this time the game was hard to find. I was lucky to find a great copy on eBay, and it's been a lot of fun!
The game is rated T (I'm guessing for violence), but there's not a lot of blood and gore. When you defeat other pirates or monsters, they disappear into the ground. There is some mild alcohol reference (you get healed by finding mugs of grog), but nothing too over the top. I'd think the game would be appropriate for kids s young as 10.
In this game, you are Katarina, daughter to the governor of the islands. After your father is killed by Hawk, an evil Pirate who is more than he seems, you begin a quest do recover your Pirate mother's vault of treasure and defeat Hawk.
The game consists of two parts, sailing and sea battling and island exploration. As you sail from island to island, you meet Hawk's men in ships and in forts on various islands. Using the cannons on your boat you can attack and sink Hawk's ships and re-take the forts.
In the island exploration, Black Kat fights a variety of monsters and men while finding useful items to help her quest.
I really enjoy the difference of the sailing and island exploration parts of the game. The sea battles are fun without being overly complex. The fighting is pretty standard controls for most PS2 games. While you fight, you build up power that you can unleash in multi-attacks, which comes in handy against tough creatures.
The graphics are very good. Not the best I've seen, but very good. The one negative I can think of is that it does get slightly repetitive at times. However, the islands and inhabitants are different enough from section to section, that you always have new challenges to face.
All in all, Pirates: The Legend of Black Kat is a great game for adults and early teens.
