This "workhorse" is the best, most reliable robotic pool cleaner bar none.
I had done weeks of research on Robitic Pool Cleaners and it was a virtual "toss-up" between the Water Tech Blue Diamond and the Maytronics Dolphin. My original purchase after reading all the "positive" reviews was the Dolphin.
A short few weeks later, regret set in as the Dolphin unit began moving about 10 feet upon start-up and then shut off. Determined to find a solution, I went online to see if others had the same problem. To my surprise, there were numerous posts wherein the same problem occurred. Must to my dismay, no one had found a solution and had resided to contacting the manufacturer, Maytronics.
I guess the proper statement would be "attempted" to contact as I soon found that the customer service for Maytronics products is virtually non-existent. After a few more days of frustration, arrangements were made and the product was returned.
Reluctant to spend quite so much at the onset, I began looking on EBay for a good/used WaterTech Blue Diamond and found this one. I have had this unit for a few months now and have used it dozens of times and do almost daily. Funny thing is, the two things that steered me away from this model, appearance and options, are the same things I like about it most now.
This unit is a simple, non-flashy workhorse of a pool cleaner. Typically what I presume most people actually want and need in the first place.
The WaterTech Blue Diamond cleans my pool better, faster and with minimal maintenance (a bag cleaning after each session). I am very pleased with it and you will be also.
Believe it or not, even the funky blue/pink paint job kinda grows on you.
