Does what it should
1 of 1 found this helpful I have a Sony CDX-M60UI marine CD player AM/FM on my boat. I wanted to be able to play music from the stereo in the cabin on the Sony. The CD player has Aux-Input jacks on the back, but these do not do anything unless you have a Sony CD Changer hooked up. The XA-300 makes the CD player activate the Aux-In jacks and you can hook up any music source. Just what I needed!

Connect your GPS chartplotter to your DSC VHF radio
1 of 1 found this helpful Just what I needed. The builder of my boat (in 2003) did not run a cable from the chartplotter (Raymarine RL80C plus) to the RAY 215 VHF radio. Once this connection is made, your chartplotter provides your exact lat/lon to the VHF. This is important because if you ever have to use the "distress" button on the VHF, the radio will transmit the lat/lon to the Coast Guard, and they will immediately know where you are. It is a very easy connection if you have the right cable.
Step 2 of this process before the DSC radio will transmit your location, is to get your MMSI, a 9-digit number that also gives the CG your name, description of your boat and other details. You must do BOTH for it to all work.

Exact fit replacement
Replaced the old stern light on our boat. Exact fit, just hooked up the existing wires. After 15 years the lens had yellowed and the light bulb was coated on the inside with something that made it look like it was not working. This one is all new, works well.
