Great value foot pump that does the job
1 of 1 found this helpful The foot pump frame is sturdy and the large non-slip foot plate works well. The metal screw-on valve connector was a selling point for me since I have used the plastic lever type but these ones always seem to wear out quickly. The metal connector attached to this pump should ensure an air tight connection for years of use. The hose is a useful length too; not too short. The pressure gauge appears to over-read by about 1.5 PSI, when I compared the reading to another digital handheld gauge and a handheld analogue gauge (both of which gave me the same pressure reading). However, the nice feature is that the gauge turns itself on and the back light comes on when you start pumping air into the tyre and switches itself off a short while after pumping. Most digital gauges have to be turned on first but this one is automatic. If super accurate readings are necessary, then you might be able to replace the gauge with a higher quality one. Otherwise you may need to purchase a higher-end unit. I think with a suitable lubricant applied to the joints and to the inside of the piston chamber, this unit should last.
