Good price
Great value. Had one key barrel, if thats what its called, fall completely out. Not sure how or why. Reason for 4 stars. Havent used all of them yet. Used 16 or so. If theres a couple duds in the bunch, oh well... Some have been in use, outdoors since purchase...around 1 year. I have to oil them and sometimes heat them when frozen, but still working. Very handy needing only one key for all. Actually, they are better quality than I expected. I would buy again.

Great string on my D18. Good compromise between coated an uncoated.
Love these D'addario XT 13-56 PB on my Martin D18 (mahogany back and sides/spruce top) Dreadnought. They sound great out of the box, settle in very quickly. Pretty smooth, not as smooth as a real coated string. There's some string noise at times...but, they are a lot smoother than uncoated. They don't have the muted coated string sound. I'm assuming the light treatment helps tame the new string sizzle. You could put these on and perform the same day.
These, D'addario XS (coated), Martin's Retros (monel), and Martin PBs are some of my favorites so far. Hard to move on and try something new after trying these XTs. The price is a little high, but they do last. I usually keep them on around a month or so. Several hours a day playing, indoors and outdoors. They don't suck when I take them off...but the new set always sounds a little better than the old.
Good luck on your search.

Slim options for us leftys
As far as I know Fender stopped selling the left handed ash tray bridge. Options are this, Kluson or generic (allparts)..ect. This is a high quality (heavy) built bridge. Plating is nice and brass barrels are intonated. I am enjoying the looks, although I may eventually artificially age it some. My guitar (Fender Player Series) intonated pretty nice considering 2 strings per barrel. I'm happy with this purchase.
