Not what I would expect from a Yuasa battery

Have had motorcycles for decades, and I understand how to correctly set up and charge a new battery. I carried out the filling, waiting and charging correctly, but unfortunately, this one only lasted for 8 weeks. Was going to go for a ride today, and when I turned on the ignition, the voltage level was 12.4, but it cranked very slowly and then went dead. The voltage dropped to 6 and then came back up to 12.4 within a matter of seconds after releasing the starter switch. Tried again, but starter was only clicking, and then the same thing with quick return to 12.4 volts upon releasing the starter switch. This battery replaced a four-year-old battery that was still good because I like to replace my batteries before they go bad. So I know the issue is most likely not my starter or charging system but this new battery. Yuasa had been a solid brand for decades, but something has happened to the quality recently. I won't be buying Yausa again.
