Value Derives From Scarcity
Some of these boards have flaws but sometimes the flaws can be fixed and their feature set is getting extremely scarce. When they work they are great. When they don't they are hard to replace.

Well thought out and perfectly executed product design at a fair price.
Good, functional, efficiently shaped, tall, ergonomic design with plenty of volume, transparency and a lid with an air tight seal. The lid's dispenser flap has a built-in handle to gain easy leverage for opening, then the dispenser flap locks open or closed. A handy tab helps pop the entire lid off easily for cleaning or refilling. The only negative is that replacement lids are not available. Rubbermaid needs to make and market replacement lids so we can keep using the containers forever. Not the cheapest container out there but you get good value for your money especially when you buy a set instead of just one.
